As the final bells ring and the hallways grow quiet, I want to take a moment to look back on an incredible school year here at Horizon West Middle School.
When we started this journey, we adopted a creed to guide us through every challenge, every test, and every triumph: "This is the way."
Over the last ten months, you have shown exactly what that means. You didn't just walk the path, you forged it with resilience, kindness, and hard work.

• Our Students: You showed up every day ready to learn, support one another, and protect the "foundling" community spirit that makes Horizon West so special. You conquered new challenges and proved that our bond is stronger than any obstacle.
• Our Staff: Like true protectors, you guided our students with unwavering dedication, patience, and heart. Thank you for your tireless commitment to excellence.
• Our Families: Thank you for being our vital allies in this mission. We could not have navigated this year without your trust and partnership.

Now, a new mission awaits: Operation: Summer Break.
Take this time to rest, recharge, explore new galaxies (or just the local pool), and spend time with the people you love. Your armor is earned, your credits are cashed in, and you’ve more than deserved this downtime.
To our departing 8th graders: As you take flight to high school, remember the creed. Horizon West will always be part of your clan. To our rising 7th and 8th graders: We already look forward to the next chapter of our journey together this fall.
Enjoy every moment of the break, stay safe, and remember... This is the way.
